Wanted to share my first silicone kit sculpt, Penny. :)
My chubby ubby girl! She still needs a LOT of work like sanding and smoothing and filling in the cracks but I am so excited to pour her in silicone. She has full limbs and will have a wrap around tummy. I can't wait to hold her when she is made of silicone and is all squishy. She will be about 20-21" long(if her legs were straight)

She's beautiful Kim. I bet it's almost like waiting on a birth. You've done a great job. I love her chubby look. She's going to be great. Who's pouring her for you?
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!

This will be the deciding factor if I do more on my own. I cast my preemie like a year and 1/2 ago but I only poured 3 and my mold kinda sucked(unbelievably bad seam lines on the legs and it wasn't a good idea to learn on a full body sculpt I think) and I did some minis and my merbaby but those molds were also kinda sucky so I am using glove molds this time to avoid the seam lines and if all goes well I will do more but if not I will send my sculpts out to a professional pourer so I can just concentrate on the sculpting and painting part.. In other words I'll know when to say when if my casting just isn't up to par cause I want these to be "perfect". We shall see how it goes. (Wish me luck! )

She's lovely! Can't wait to see her in silicone! Must be awesome to see your very own work come to life. Especially in silicone. Congratulations!

Yes, I am only planning on painting a couple of them myself and the rest will all be just sold as kits. Hopefully I can squeeze 10-15 sets of them out of my molds. I hope!sherrybug wrote:Oh I love her. Are you going to sell her as a kit?

Hello, I am not very active on this forum so just saw your pictures/post re your new baby. I am very impressed. Your sculpt is really beautiful. Very professional. As an original artist in porcelain dolls I know all about how important mould making is. toying with the idea of converting a tiny sculpt into vinyl/silicone.
Unlike you I know nothing about re-borning. It's all new & very interesting to me.
Back to your baby. Congratulations, well done.
