Advice on fixing a reborn boo boo

Post by shellydollmama »

Need some advice from the artists or even collectors who've fixed boo boo's.

details: I caught my little niece in the act of trying to paint one of my reborns toe nails :o in any case, after explaining this was a no no...she inadvertently spilled some polish on the dolls knee. I tried to wipe up it immediately but sadly paint came off with the polish. While at DEDS I showed the boo boo to a doll artist friend and she indicated it was something she wouldn't want to paint over another artists painting...she's not the artist).

So...what do I do? :dunno: the reborn has gorgeous brown skin tone. I was thinking of going to a craft store to buy some paint to possibly make a "birth mark" for her but I don't want to do more damage than already done. Any ideas? I'd rather not pull her apart & really mess things up. I was thinking there may possibly be a fix it marker or something. Any advice appreciated.

You know Lara and Nancy Wheeler both live in that area. Perhaps they can repair it for you.
http://www.realreborn.com/ this is Lara's forum.
Nancy's Lil Darlings is her nursery name. She lives in Reading, PA.

Hi chelle...no pic but it looks like white next to brown, the nail polish completely took off the heat set paint.

Nancy, thanks so much. I'm going to contact either one of those ladies. Reading is not a far drive at all. Thanks again!
