Thank you for this Ruth. I have a new machine but I am just not well at sewing. I have made a few pillows for my nursery and a mattress cover and bumper pad for a mini crib I had so this I think I can do! I started on it last night and will maybe get to finish it up today while hubby is busy with the game. xo

Just send me your address via PM or whatever...... and I will gladly send you a copy of the pattern...... but for now here are the measurements

top back side to side width is 12 inches..... the end tabs are 2.5 inches wide at end to 3.5 inches at beginning of curve
crotch 4 inches ..... at narrowest part
front of diaper (bottom of pattern) 6 inches wide at the widest
length of diaper 11 inches

This is the newborn size 18 inches to 20 inches doll

Hope those help. I tend to have narrow seams since it is over sewn as the final step.

I used to sell cloth diapers (to real babies ) another option is cut out your pattern (.25 inch out from mark) two pieces, pin them wrong sides together and sew FOE (fold over elastic) around the edges pulling it tight around the leg and back so as to give a tighter fit. I made most of mine just like you do but with water proof layer and snaps
