DO kids who eventually have brown eyes have brown eyes at birth?
I don't know the answer. I was thinking of full blooded Asians, Indians (East and American) and Africans?

My assumption, based on not much, is that their eyes are dark grey.

My youngest son was born with dark brown eyes. We are of Irish, Norweigian, English and French descent. All 8 of my other children had blue/gray eyes at birth with 3 or them becoming brown or hazel by 3 mo. The rest have blue eyes like my husband.

No, at birth all babies have a grey color to them. They change through the first year to a more 'color' of iris. But even then can change until around age 5 yrs.

I was born with brown eyes.

This pic, taken just days after birth, shows it pretty clear :)

My oldest two children were born with dark brown eyes. You couldn't even see the pupil in them.

That's how my eyes are. When I was in nursing school everybody hated using me as a lab partner to check pupil dilation.
Of course I was always high on crack! KIDDING!!! LOL  :trout:

Although that might have made nursing school less HELLISH! :flamethrow:

You are too funny!

I too was born with big dark brown eyes.
I love the Eyeco Oriental eyes and have tried many dark eyes and always prefer them when needing dark eyes.

My favorite newborn brown are the ones from Bountiful Baby. They work well also when you want a grey-green-brown color.

My son Ivan was born with dark grey-brown eyes, depending on how the light hit them. They changed into coffee brown eyes almost immediately. Very dark eyes are unmistakable from the start!
