mold removal from poor baby emily, please help :(

Post by ticklesngiggles_sarah »

Hi Ladies, I was wondering what your experiences are with mold, I just bought emily asleep and awake by linda webb hoping to reborn them but after stripping I've noticed there is mold spots on her limbs and her head, any tips on how to remove them? i know the oxy 10 trick but would mold remover work?
thanks in advance xxx

May not be mold... maybe where ashton drake dolls start turning colors.

it's definitely mold, it was all on the cloth body too, looks like she's been stored in a garage or something, little black dots on her head and limbs, I hope she can be reborn, she's such a lovely sculpt and i've always wanted to reborn her xx

only thing that cleans mold is bleach so you can try cleaning in that.

I would be afraid that bleach would turn the vinyl colors so I would try anything else first.

Also, bleach causes mold spores to become airborne. Not saying this would happen, but if airborne, it could just spread the mold more on the doll parts. Just something I read somewhere.
