Conditioner & Styling

Post by jude1 »

What do all of you ladies use to style and condition your baby's hair? What products do you think are the best? It's almost that time for my Paisley and need advice as usual. :?

Generally just water for styling, I've been told not to style the hair dry.

To condition I use a spray bottle part water and part conditioner for coloured hair, as after all, that's what mohair is.

Hope that's helps, I'm sure everyone has their own methods too!

My friend uses Infusium diluted with water and sprays lots on then combs through and styles. Loose and finger scrunch for curls. Smooth and to the head for straighter.
I send all my heads off with water spray then a dab of Purology for color treated hair. I rub it on the hair and comb to style. I've used it for years.

True, never brush or comb mohair out dry. I often use a toothbrush while rooting which helps remove extra hairs.

What is the difference between brushing the hair if it's wet or brushing it when it's dry? I have gently brushed hair when it's dry with no issues.

I just use a little water on mohair to style……I've never needed to use conditioner of any kind. :D

Hi ladies,

have the same question : What is the difference between brushing dry or wet baby hair?

I generally use asoft baby brush ( it's made out of wood with goat's bristle), not quite too often at dry hair.

I never saw a hair fall off or breaking.

Sometimes I use a spray from German Reborn supplier "OnceSoReal"' which shall help to prevent the hair to be felted.

But another question: Will such spray or conditioner damage the colours, if used too frequently?

Even if Genesis colours were used for painting?

Thanks so much for help,

I just use water in a spray bottle too. I've tried a few products, but usually they are too fragrant or they make the hair sticky.

I only ever use water in a spray bottle, that way you do not get product build up on the hair.
Hope this info is helpful.

This is what I do too.
I read to always make sure the water is lukewarm, not cold or hot because it could felt the mohair causing extreme frizz.

I read somewhere that a few people have been putting a little coconut oil on the hair and it really helps with frizziness? Has anyone ever heard of such thing?
