I would like to try a new hair supplier

Post by cindydu »

Right now I use Slumberland and have been for a few years now, I use the yearling only. Who does you use? and kid, yearling or adult?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

sugargliderUS < Her DF and BB ID.. Her name is Carolyn and she does custom orders. Her mohair is mostly yearling I believe. it is shiny, soft and absolutely wonderful.. I haven't used any other fiber for nearly 2 years except for a customer who sent their own fiber. Other than that she is my go-to gal for mohair. :)

I use Delta Dawn and it's wonderfully laid out so you see what you are getting and it's been combed, conditioned and is soft and oh so shinny. I use it specifically on all my rooting.

I've used Angela Sprotts kid for the newborn babies. It is very fine and perfect for the newborn look. I have used Slumberland fine adult and yearling and it is wonderful (mind you, I have had it for around 7years unopened and I understand that the quality can vary on SL). I have used Susan Nagel: a bit coarse from my liking (I have only ever had one batch so it could just have been thwt specific batch). Lastly, I have used Delta dawn (whst my siggy baby is rooted with). It is strong, shiny, does not tangle AT ALL. I have only tried the yearling. The next time I buy Mohair it will be Delta Dawn for sure. It is the strongest most shiny "stuff" i have layed my mitts on. It is a bit deerer than the others, though, but if you are not planning to do a toddler with thick hair, it will last you a long time

Debbie Henshaw's hair is beautiful too. Very soft and shiny. She does a great job processing it.
