micro-preemie hat size?

Hey all. I'm in a secret santa exchange and would like to know the average circumference of a 10 inch micro-preemie's head, or your best guess, if anyone can help.

My micro preemie Peep who is about 11 inches has a head circumference (above the ears) of 8 and 1/2 inches even 9 if you want the hat a little loose because of hair. Ruth

I measured Julia Lee and it is 11" head circumference. The little Gwin babies (Ethan and Allie) and they are 10" head circumference. Please note all the babies are longer than you stated, but IMHO a decent measurement. Becky Bright (Bright creations I believe) made patterns and some clothes for little preemies, and I have it on Ethan Gwin.

Most 10 inch doll heads are about 6-7 inches. I haven't seen a 10 inch doll have a 10 inch head other than maybe a Berenger might.
