Another Chinese Sweatshop production...?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261687730573
Looks like a Reva Schick Arianna Awake (or similar)? Are they using genuine Reva kits, or just chrning out their own el-cheapo fakes?
And look at the "hand-rooting" according to the description, second to last picture? That's far too evenly spaced holes for hand rooting, got to be machine done that surely?
Mark.

Yikes. I have seen these fake factory made Arianna's before. Pretty bad aren't they? First they copy the kit illegally and now they are making these shoddy factory dolls and calling them reborns. First time I have seen one with hair this long though.

The rooting definitely doesn't look to be hand-rooted and regardless it looks bad and so does the painting.

Oooooh, I hate that they're doing this. That rooting is NOT hand done, unless they mean that they handled the machine that rooted it.

Re: Another Chinese Sweatshop production...?
Sadly taking production to China caused this. I read somewhere that if they produce a sculpt they retain rights to copy the sculpt for their own use after so much time has passed. Obviously this is why so many of our beloved sculpts are being copied and plagiarized. I am not sure if the companies that used China factories knew of this or not, perhaps it was buried deep in the fine print and they did not. At any rate, it is sad.

Absolute disgrace to rip off Arianna's sculpt.

And I always thought Arianna was made in Germany.

And even cheaper, with a synthetic wig...

These must be their own fake kits, as that price for a completed doll including postage from China is less than a genuine Arianna kit on it's own.

I'm not au fait on the baby/toddler kits, anyone else recognize some genuine kit knock offs?

She does look like Arianna.
I hate this on behalf of the wonderful sculptors who work so hard to create unique, pretty babies. Argh.
