Frankonia Pram
Can anyone tell me anything about this style pram? It's in a local consignment shop & is supposedly 1940's/1950's German made. I have no idea what to look for or if it's collectible....how much to offer....any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

$495, but I'm sure it's negotiable
Re: Frankonia Pram
I don't know anything about this type of pram but I bet it would look great in your doll room. Here is one I found on ebay though not the same model.

Cuuuute. I've no idea, to be honest. I guess it mostly just depends on how bad you want it. See what you can talk them down to

Oh Yes, everything is negotiable. It surely looks clean, you can see how shiny the chrome is. I would definitely do some research, also check ebay under the UK section.Tracy Lorraine wrote:$495, but I'm sure it's negotiable

Re: Frankonia Pram
I just did a search on ebay and this one seems a little high. There are several for much less than that, course don't know the conditions but I'd say they are out of the ball park here.

Thank you! I'm going to pass on this one, but I'm going to continue my search for the perfect pram for my nursery.

Re: Frankonia Pram
It is lovely As a rule, antique shops are expensive. Both because of the overheads of keeping a shop, and because of the taxation. Here the price is more than 50% extra (25% is tax and the other 25% the shops earnings). I will only pay that extra if it is something that is RARE or in extraordinary good condition. I am sure it or something like it will eventually come up on Ebay.
I am also on the hunt for a carriage, but a doll one. From the 40's, great condition, off white and Norwegian made. So difficult...almost impossible to find. And if the time comes and I find it. Then I will not care how much, even if I have to draw the moneys myself
and if lived in the US, then I would look for a Shirley Temple one
Good hunting and good luck to you,

Re: Frankonia Pram
I'm glad you are going to pass on it Tracy although I was going to suggest offering at least a $100.00 less than the price they are asking and I know that they would probably be insulted but I don't think it's worth anywhere near $495.00.Tracy Lorraine wrote:Thank you!
