3/28 Update on Paul... Please send prayers

Lainey, how is Paul doing? Did he have his surgery yet? We are still Praying for him.

Thank you all so much for posting on here. It helps so much knowing there are so many people rooting and praying for Paul. He has not had the surgery yet. They are still waiting to get the right surgeon, but are keeping him in the hospital until he recuperates from the surgery. I will let you all know when it has actually been scheduled.

One thing has happened that surprised us.... Remember the CNA that was fired from the rehab facility because of the way he spoke to Paul about him not being able to use his arms and legs etc? Diana saw this same guy in the hospital yesterday and he works there. She said she just glared at him and he didn't even look at her. She is really keeping an eye out for him. Remember my saying before that the facility and the hospital that he is in are affiliated? So, he was fired from the facility and went straight to the hospital and they immediately hired him. We can't wait to get him out of Chattanooga and down near Atlanta so Diana and the boys will be so much closer to him.

That is awful that the CNA was just rehired at the other facility. It's almost like they just "fired" him to look good but was like just go to the hospital and you will have a job there. Shameful!
I hope his surgery goes well!!

Lainey, you can put a ban on the CNA and tell the hospital you do not want him NEAR Paul or Paul's room. I did that when my son was in John Hopkins some years ago. I forbade certain nurses/doctors to go near him. I told the administration that if they did not uphold my wishes, I would sue them. I did have good reason to ban them from his room....it wasn't just arbitrarily.

Basically they transferred the CNA and told you he was fired to shut you down. Nice of them, and clearly a sign of their high quality of service.

Oh that's scary Lainey. I'd ban him from the room too. No reason to take chances.

Dear sweet Lainey, I seldom post but I want you to know how much this breaks my heart. Your son has gone through so much in the last year & to know he has to have part of his leg removed is so much to handle. I have & will continue to pray for him. stay strong.

Paul is in surgery right now. We had a call about 2 hours ago that they were ready to start. I will come on when we get the doctor's phone call.
