Oh Brooke, never say never……..I would have never dreamed of owning some of the beautiful babies that I have, silicone and vinyl, but after saving up I was able to eventually bring home the babies that I wanted. I hope one day you are able to bring home a silicone baby that you want!!

That's just it - the "bring home" part. Larry and I are about a week away from breaking ground on our new, forever house, so you know where all our $ili money has to go! I'm so excited.

Ah, your forever home will be wonderful to see being built and planning on new items for inside. That is about one of the most exciting things in a persons life. It will take a lot more effort and expense than a silicone doll. And besides you cannot just decide you want another big or better or trade for another style like you can a doll.
Never say never is right. Your sili will come in due time, just like your new home, came in due time.

And yes, silicone dolls done correctly, as the top artists are, will last longer than my great grandchildren's grandchildren!

I have my Bonnie and Lily Rose but I doubt I'll ever invest in a full body sculpt, I love looking at everyone else's though and am just wondering after looking at Jen's baby ... has anyone had problems with diapers and clothing cutting into the creases?

I have my phicens but keep them naked as I'm frightened of clothing cutting in ...

I secretly have wondered that very thing in the back of my mind, and as well as tight fitting clothing around the legs or anywhere else for that matter, but for as long as I have had silicone dolls, the diapers have never hurt any…….even tight fitting diapers around the legs. I think that is one of the reasons that I now only like to use cloth diapers on my silicone babies……….just to be safe, but I also worry about what might be inside of a disposable diaper that could react or harm silicone since they weren't made to use on a silicone doll and all……..I just like to err on the side of caution with my dolls.

PS~Sorry for hijacking your post!

I understand how you feel. I did get a micropreemie sili and I love her to pieces, but I am still dreaming of a Huti. I do enjoy seeing all of my dolly friends' Hutis and am always excited for them, but sometimes I do get sad because I can't have one. Maybe one day we will both get what we're dreaming of.

And on a happy note, congratulations on the new home.

I just took a diaper off a silicone that was one for 8 years, the inside of the pamper was yellow but nothing happened to the silicone , still perfect!!( again depends on the quality of the silicone!!!)
