Huge doll house renovation project

Post by Suzanne »

For those of you who asked I will post my progress here. I started this weekend by putting the one wheel on the bottom so I can easily move it around now and I hung the other side on. I scrubbed the roof and the siding, scraped the front porch decking off tore out floors and loose wall paper washed little windows and ripped out old electrical tape. I am really sad I will have to start all over with the electric but oh well. I repainted the kitchen cabinet that the house had and will use it on the top floor for a hobby room. I put a new floor in it just to see if it sticks. Its real vinyl flooring from Home Depot and wow so much cheaper than doll house flooring. So not much to see but here are pics. I am going to give the siding a new white coat of paint and the roof will be a dark green with a cool cucumber green porch coloring. I have a long way to go but it will keep me busy. Hard thing is it's at my weeekend house and too big to move so I can only work on it there but I also paint my dolls there too.

Wow -- Suzanne -- great job! The flooring is a great idea! If you would like some pieces of planking in a different color for another room, I'll be glad to send you some scraps. We just did our lower level -- 2500 square feet -- with planking! Love it. Let me know.
