Is there anyone who offers Reborn classes using air dry paints?
I'm not very artistic - but I have lots of kits - and I have the FX paints new (before they went out of business) and some random supplies.
I would like to know who offers classes on how to paint a reborn doll using the air dry paints. I would really love someone to help me make one so I can make others for myself.
I do know there is a class at the Rose doll show - but I'd rather find someone on the East Coast.
I would also like the Rose doll show to allow you to bring your own doll to reborn - because I have so many - I'd rather make one of my own.
If your interested in teaching me for hire - please send me a PM.
Thank you

Susan, I have a full-course DVD (using LDC air dry paints) available for sale in the link in my signature. The technique I use is the same with any paints I work with and I have color guides available to use specifically with the Baby FX paints. And, I'm available for questions any time
(As a side note, although I understand why you would want to bring your own kit to an organized class, it is easier to teach a class using the same sculpt. The instructor can guide on specific aspects of that sculpt/kit as it is being painted and manage the size of the kit in hopes to finish painting the doll in class.)

I am curious, what paints do you recommend with BabyFX being discontinued?

Paula, my gut tells me to sit tight...that Baby FX may be back under a different distributor/manufacturer. I have felt that way from the beginning of the discontinuation of them.LollipopCradle_Paula wrote:Debbie,Debbie@TNGUN wrote:Susan, I have a full-course DVD (using LDC air dry paints) available for sale in the link in my signature. Have you bought any Baby FX paints? Both Lorraine at Dream a Little Dream Nursery and Esther at Irrisistibles still have some in stock.

I remember how bittersweet it was for Marita to part with her Denver Rose but she knew you would be the best "mommy" for her Linda!LindaBforbabies wrote:Excellent idea... I have a painted Denver Rose from Debbie's class and she is gorgeous... she was painted by Marita herself...

If you want to buy the Baby FX paints (and powders), you can still get them from Lorraine at Dream a Little Dream Nursery: http://www.daldnursery.com/index.html
or from Esther at Irrisistables: https://www.irresistables.com
I have enough of the Baby FX to keep me going for a while and I have faith and a hunch that they will be back!
