Oh Misty he now looks wonderful. What a lovely thing for you to do for Lori. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few happy tears when she opens his box. It's nice to see someone doing something to help another just because they can rather than some of the nastiness we hear on here. Big hugs to you for your huge generosity.
Love,
Lee

Here is the finished product! I received my newly painted and stuffed doll from Misty today. He is SOO much better than what I had originally bought as a "custom made reborn" from Betty J Coffman of Little Blessings LLD. I'm pretty sure she has at least one other shop name and she sells on Etsy. She took six months to make a doll for me. The doll I received had arms from another kit and wasn't painted at all. His head was rooted. His head fell off as soon as I lifted him from the box. DO NOT BUY from Betty J Coffman to avoid this disappointment. She refused to offer me a refund and of course it was too late to file a case with Paypal or Etsy. BTW, be careful buying expensive items from Etsy, they don't protect their buyers very well I've learned. Betty is still happily taking money from unsuspecting buyers and Etsy doesn't care. They gave her a "warning". Here is a pic of the original doll after I removed his clothing.

I sent the doll to Misty, who was one of the wonderful people on this forum that offered to repaint him for free. I want to think the other ladies who offered, no offense to your painting skills, I just didn't know who to pick, so I went for the first offer! Misty did an awesome job! She does sell her dolls on Ebay and I highly recommend buying from her! I've been buying reborns since the late 1990's and know good quality when I see it. See for yourself. Sorry if the doll looks more red or orang-ish, my living room lights are halogens.

ISn't he sweet? He's the Meki sculpt by Adrie stoete that's pretty HTF. I am a very happy Mama, he's beautiful, I like real-looking baby dolls and he hits the spot!

Yes, I did give Misty a tip for her work. She finished this doll in about one week!! I'm very happy and thankful!
Thank you, Misty!!
