Who buys or sells dolls on etsy?

Hi everyone! I was thinking of maybe selling from etsy and was wondering if anyone has had success there with selling their own dolls...and for collectors, do you ever buy on etsy?

I have bought tons of doll related items on Etsy but never an actual reborn.

I've heard people say you can sell them on Etsy but you can't get much for them there. I do buy doll items from there though, they sell cute headbands, knits etc. on there. You could always try one on there and see what happens.

Well, I guess I'm gonna give it a try. It only costs 20 cents to list but then there is a 3 1/2 % fee on selling price and a 3% banking fee plus 25 cents. Not great pricing but not horrible, as the banking fee is pretty much the same as PayPal.

I bought my first two reborns on Etsy (from Shaylen Maxwell-- she does a lot of her business there!). I prefer to buy on eBay now though.

It all looks great to me Sue. She's beautiful. Only thing I thought of was possibly adding a bit more info about the baby herself, like length and weight, etc.

Hi Emi! Just curious, why do you prefer eBay over Etsy? I have been selling on eBay since 1998 and as a seller, I HATE it! LOL!

I mostly like eBay because there are more selling formats (e.g. auctions, best offers). Plus, the market on eBay is broader, and since babies sell faster there, there are new ones every day (as opposed to Etsy, where often times search results can stay the same for a very long time). Also, you can save searches on eBay and see all the new results in a single feed-- as a buyer, I just find that to be easier!

Very good reasons Emi! I have sold on eBay for so long now, and as a seller I am getting to the point that I HATE it. It is so costly and there are so many Chinese knock-offs in the Reborn Doll category. I am excited to see how the new doll selling site "BabyBugsyBoo.com" does. I am ready to give a new site a try.
