A Christmas Story - Sheila Michael ornaments

Post by Susan Cornelius »

I love to collect the Sheila Michael tree ornaments. These are sleep sack babies that hang on the tree with a porcelain head. The "from the factory babies" had the silk rose with petals on the sleep sack. On Christmas Eve day 2008, our home was destroyed by fire. I was able to rescue several of the porcelain heads, but the sleep sacks were ruined by water, smoke and debris. A special person made me new sleep sacks for these babies and put the heads on them. These babies are the ones in the photo with the red and white ribbon and the rose in the center. All are very special to me. The others I have collected in the past 9 years mainly on ebay. I have 64 now. They don't take up much room :D . They hold many good memories for us old and new. Some I have never unwrapped but cherish each one. I still buy these :baby1:

And my newest baby - a Christmas present - Sawyer Jameson - a new baby brother for Emerson. He is on the right, the sleeping baby. I hope his DF mommy Rebakah will see him! (Thank you - love him!)

Your babies & big girls are beautiful!!!
Your collection of Sheila Michael bundle ornaments is really special! Janan made a wreath for me 2 years ago & a Boyd's teddy bear attached to the wreath & she holds one of these babies. I keep the wreath up year round on my doll room nursery door.
I am "expecting" a "Levi" girl that I am going to name "Leah" to go with the Levi boy that I got last Spring. I am really excited, but she won't be opened until Christmas morning, That will be a hard wait!! LOL!!! I will definitely post pictures when I get her!!

What a great collection of the ornaments. I’ve never seen them before. They’re darling. Emerson does look pleased with his new brother and your girls are totally precious. Very nice collection. I don’t really have any Christmas baby stories to share but I enjoyed yours and I love Emerson on your siggy pic too.
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!
Cheers, Erin

I love your ornaments. I have only ever seen one or two for sale. They are so sweet and how kind of your friend to make new sleep sacks

Sawyer and Emerson are adorable and sweet together.
