Is this body ok for a full limb baby? (Sansa kit - body question??)
Hi everyone.
I haven't had a full limb baby before. The artist sent me this photo of the baby who is on layaway. I thought full limbs joined straight onto the body via cable ties (like the head does). Is this still ok? Many apologies if it's an obvious question xxx

That would not be acceptable to me ... I don't like those jointed bodies anyway. the limbs act like whirlygigs...

I really dislike those bodies too. I like the ones like you said that join straight onto the body with cable ties.

The body she has on is the one that comes with the kit. She is the sansa full limb kit. So which body should I ask to swap for? Thank you

That is a jointed body for a full limbed kit. Some people prefer those since it allows for greater movement in the limbs vs zip ties directly in the flanges. If that is the body that came with the kit and you don't feel like it would be something you would like, you should talk to the seller about pricing for another body with non-jointed limbs.

That is a body for a full limb baby that can get loose or perhaps they never get tighter to begin with. There are other types but this does give good joint movement. I have always tighten the joints up by pushing them together making them tighter. Not that it's easy as you have push the joint part really, really hard so that they pop closer together. If one never tightens them they will be really loose and the limbs will fly around later.
Best of luck,

I'm think many years ago I had a full limbed baby but it's limbs attached straight to the body using cable ties. So this photo was just new/different/strange to me. I'm more than happy to buy a new body for the seller to put on. However if this body works fine then that's ok too I just thought it would be nicer to not have the cloth bits to cover up with clothes.
On all the sites that sell sansa though it recommends a jointed body so maybe a cable tie body isn't suitable.
Sorry if my description isn't good, I'm not a reborner xxx

I have messaged the artist and asked her about pushing the disks further together so the arms to fly around like windmills. I hope she understand what u mean lol x

I'm sure she would be fine on a non jointed body. I very seldom use jointed bodies with full limbs because the clothes fit more naturally on non jointed bodies. Jmho.

My Sansa did not come with that body, although to be fair, I can't remember if I got a body with the kit when I purchased her.
Mine is on a non jointed full limb body:

I don't suppose you could do me a huge favour and take a photo of her without the plate on could you so I could see? From the top of her head to the tip of her toes what does your sansa measure please? I'm afraid I don't have this girl anymore. She was made for the doll show this past summer.Miller wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2018 10:09 pmI don't suppose you could do me a huge favour and take a photo of her without the plate on could you so I could see?
