NuWave

Post by cojackbailey »

:hi ya: I’m hoping you ladies can help me out. I use GHS paint for my reborns, and up until now I’ve been using an oven in my downstairs kitchen. Well...that oven finally bit the dust! I’ve heard that so many of you use a NuWave oven, which I’m totally unfamiliar with. I’m just wondering if you can share your thoughts and experiences with using them. I looked at them on Amazon, and there are several different kinds. Any input will be very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance, :foryou:

I bought something similar to a Nuwave, after using a large countertop convection/regular oven, and I found it awkward to use. Getting the vinyl parts out of it while hot, was awkward, whereas with my countertop oven, (bought from Walmart), I just take out the tray with the parts on it. The one I have, is larger than your usual “toaster oven” type thing, so I can get a newborn kit in there with no problem. :)

I’d be interested to hear how others like/dislike the Nuwave, and how they handle removing the doll parts from it. :) And if anyone uses a convection oven. I haven’t tried the convection part of mine yet. :)

I have used a NuWave oven in my garage and it works perfectly. Since I now use air dry again I am having a brain fart as to the setting and time I use, but I think it was Level 7 for 9 minutes. I know others will come along and give you more advice. Also, I purchased and extender ring so all parts would be far from the heating element. I let the parts sit in the nu-wave oven until they are cool so it is free of any fumes from the heat and of course, they are hot has Hades.

If you do a search on the forum for NuWave you should find other discussions that have been done in the past.

I think the NuWaves are great for reborning. I’d never go back to the regular oven.
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!
Cheers, Erin
