Need help with signature, Thank you Steve--Much appreciated.

I am trying to change my signature but can't figure it out. I have tried many times and it isn't working. HELP

Hi Pat, What's happening? I found it hasn't changed since the board update...

I click on Private Message, Profile, then Edit Signature. Insert the IMG code from PB (edited down to size) and submit.

Thank you Kim. That is exactly what I have been doing. I have even tried reposting a siggy picture that I have used before. This is the message that I get every time I try to post a siggy picture.

It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you entered is correct.

Hi Pat, it's definitely your link. I tried it and it did the same for me. The img IMG next to each other seems wrong to me.

Me too, so I tool one of the img. off and it still won't post the picture. Hope Steve sees this and can help.

Hmmmm we need Steve LOL. I erased my siggy and tried to put it back and I am getting the same message. I used the same link as I had been for my siggy last week or so.

You need to remove the second and then it will work.

Thank you Nadia. That works to post a picture on the forum but that same link will not work to set a new signature. Not sure what the issue is but maybe Steve can help.

Pat - Try this:
1 - At the beginning of your chain replace the [img] with [url=

2 - then type (with NO spaces between the = and the http) http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj11 ... mlaop8.jpg

3 - then type with NO spaces next to jpg .html][img]

4 - then with NO spaces type your picture address chain (starting with http and ending with jpg that is showing in step 2)

5 - then with NO spaces type [/img][/url]

I think this should make your picture show up. This is what the coding looks like in my signature that is working fine.

If this doesn't work, then you'll have to contact Steve.

If you are using photobucket for an image host all bets are off if it will work or not for signatures. Before an image can be used as a signature the board needs to determine it's dimensions and size and photobucket will one day send that info and another day not. Not sure if Californiateris options works or not but nothing to lose. If you put the exact same image in the gallery at DollFan I bet it works.

The gallery is in your UCP as the far right option...everyone has one by default. I've been playing a bit with it since this morning specifically for photobucket but have had it is different states of change(broken for everyone or just photobucket) all day so it may not have worked for you depending on when you did it JaNan.

This isn't anything new with Photobucket, Pat....you can google the exact error and see it's not unique and goes back a long time. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't depending on what Photobucket is doing. I think I've got it working with them but not sure how permanent it is.

Thanks Steve..I don't use Photobucket....I use EAPH and it did not work for me either...Lori walked me through the Gallery upload and finally got the number URL to work for a small siggy picture..but..what a pain!

That's what I was saying....due to the photobucket issue some code had to change and depending on when you tried it it was broken for everyone at different parts of the day while I tinkered with it. It all should be working right now but I'll never be able to fully support Photobucket due to the way they do a lot of things internally that can change how it works.
