This is the most fantastic post ever... thank you so much Wendy for opening up with all this info...

I have a silicone that I have wanted to redo since the day I got her and haven't been able to get the silicone paints here in AUS and can't get them shipped from US and they are classified as dangerous goods.

I was saving my penny's to send her to someone who can paint silicones in the US but now I can attempt to do her myself with Genesis.

Thank you, thank you and thank you!

I bought mine at my local hardware store, and when I used the genesis paints I just used the clear silicone and powered sugar to seaL my baby and it worked wonderfully...still working great, no sticky spots or shine on her and the paint is lasting very well too!

hi, thank you...Oh, perfect..I will try like this,
--you said just clear silicone,it is to mix with genesis paint ?(if not, which sealant can I mix with genesis ?)
--or the clear silicone is just to put when paint is finished, just before sugar powered ?
--...and which kind of clear silicone (if you have the link to buy it), please ?
thank you so much....

I think when you use Genesis paints on silicone you just mix them with the thinners you always use with Genesis and paint as you would a reborn. Then when you are all done painting and heat setting you seal the doll with the loctite sealer. At least that is my understanding of the process, am I correct - - - anyone?? Nancy
