So I'm pretty much done with my reborn process...but the baby feels so grainy! Looks grainy, too! I bake after applying each layer...I have never had this problem. I'm using all the same paints and thinner that I always use...also using the same oven. 265 degrees, for 7 minutes. I do all my babies like this, and they all turn out smooth and pretty. The paint job looks great but it's grainy. I have NOT applied matte varnish...just the heat paints.
What have I done wrong? How can I correct this?
Thanks in advance!

Re: HELP! Baby feels grainy...
Sounds like the paint isn't fully baked. I bake mine for 9 minutes each time and it is usually smooth. If it feel rough after you bake then it needs more time. Try baking it again and see if it helps.

Yep, sounds like it needs a little longer to bake. I always put mine in for 9 minutes on 265 to 275 degrees.
