Question about Americus Kit

Post by Dawn86 »

Hey everyone! I am currently working on reborning the Americus Kit by L.L.E. I love that she is a full body reborn, but I would also like to have her soft and squishy. I have thought about cutting the body to make front and back plates, but I just hate to cut the body up that much especially on an expensive kit. So I was thinking that maybe if I cut the vinyl body at the shoulders (between the head opening and arm opening) then I would be able to slide the body off and on. I hope this makes sense. Has anyone done this? Does anyone think this will cause issues?
Thanks!

Yes, this has been done to the vinyl torso. Check Youtube. I have seen the entire thing cut into 2 pieces, to more like a belly and back plate.

Is it possible to just cut the shoulders on the torso so that it can slide off and on the cloth body, or do you think the legs will be too bulky to slide through the torso?
